Our Simplified Process
For Brownsburg Schools
01 Challenge
Rapid growth within the Brownsburg Community School Corporation created the need for significant renovations and expansions at the 54-acre high school campus. The land-locked nature of the site, combined with the need to address onsite and offsite stormwater management, posed challenges for accommodating future development, including building expansions, new athletic facilities, and additional parking.
02 Solution
The Veridus team developed a phased Stormwater Master Plan that addressed short-, medium-, and long-term campus needs. A key component was relocating and enclosing Hendricks County’s open-air legal drain using a 1,200-linear-foot box culvert system, creating space for future growth while accounting for 156 acres of offsite drainage. Each phase of development integrated its own detention and water quality measures, with surface detention replaced by underground systems to maximize available space.
03 Results
The campus now has a stormwater infrastructure that meets all regulatory requirements while supporting phased development aligned with funding and population growth. Collaboration with Hendricks County and the Town of Brownsburg ensured public safety and long-term planning goals were achieved. The strategic master plan positions the campus to accommodate future growth efficiently, enhancing the school’s facilities and infrastructure.
